The Electro Minerals Division ( EMD ) of CUMI is primarily in the business of manufacturing Silicon Carbide and Alumina Oxide grains for the Abrasive, Refractory, Ceramics, Wafer Slicing and Diesel Particle Filter industry.
Above materials are delivered according to international standards like FEPA or JIS. As per customer request, specific qualities and fractions are possible. All production plants of CUMI are QM-certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 by RWTÜV Systems GmbH.
EMD's scope of supply covers electrominerals like:
CUMI usually delivers Full Container Loads à 10 or 20 metric tons from India. Following the requests of their European customers, Silicon Carbide black Micro grains as per FEPA F and P standard are now available ex warehouse Venlo, Holland. According to the demand in Europe, Alumina Oxide and other qualities will be stored in Venlo soon.
Holding the status of a “Local Company” in the EU with own VAT-No., CUMI is able to act like a European firm. That means for consignments ex Venlo no customs clearance by the purchaser is required (advance clearance by CUMI) and neither VAT nor Import Turnover Tax apply.
Concerning REACH regulations, this procedure holds further advantages for the enduser in the European Union.
